Ceres Organics Oat Bran 650g Organic
Oat bran is the outer husk of the oat grain which contains the bulk of the dietary fibre of the grain, along with other beneficial nutrients. A common use of oat bran is as an additive in baked goods like muffins, scones and breads where it adds a very distinctive texture and rich, nutty flavour. It is also added to or used alone as a cereal.
For a healthy breakfast, put together ¼ cup of oat bran, a tiny pinch of salt and a cup of water in a small sauce pan. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Add milk and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Or, for added flavour, cook with a tablespoon of diced apricots.
